Hyaluronic acid filler (typically Restylane or Belotero) injected into the tear trough — the groove between the lower eyelid and cheek — to fill the hollow that causes dark shadows and a tired, aged appearance. One of the highest-impact injectable treatments for perceived youthfulness. IMPORTANT: Tear trough is one of the most technically demanding filler injection sites — incorrect depth, product choice, or placement can cause the Tyndall effect (bluish discolouration), prolonged swelling, or vision-threatening vascular complications. This area requires an experienced injector — a GP with a weekend filler course is not appropriate for tear trough work.

Dark circles and hollow that concealer couldn't touch — gone. People ask if I've been sleeping better. Choose your injector very carefully for this area.

Went to an inexperienced injector. Got the Tyndall effect — blue tinge that lasted 6 months until it was dissolved. Research your injector as seriously as a surgeon.
