Selank is a synthetic heptapeptide analog of tuftsin developed by the Russian Academy of Sciences, administered via nasal spray at 250–750mcg per day. It produces anxiolytic effects comparable to benzodiazepines without sedation or dependency, increases BDNF expression for cognitive enhancement, and modulates the immune system. In the looksmaxxing context, chronic stress is a primary driver of cortisol-mediated skin aging, acne, and hair loss — selank targets this pathway at the neurological level. Legal in Russia; exists in a grey area in most Western countries as an unlicensed research chemical. Long-term safety data outside Russian clinical trials is limited.

Stress acne gone within 3 weeks. The anxiolytic effect is real and clean — no sedation, no brain fog. Cortisol was clearly the culprit for my skin.

Cognitive sharpness improved alongside the anxiety reduction. Focus is noticeably better. Unlike benzos, there's no next-day fog.
