Ketoconazole Shampoo

The anti-fungal that also blocks DHT

1–2% ketoconazole shampoo used 2–3x per week, left on the scalp for 3–5 minutes. Originally an anti-dandruff treatment, ketoconazole was found to inhibit DHT binding at the hair follicle while eliminating malassezia fungi that worsen scalp inflammation. A study found it increased hair shaft diameter comparably to 2% minoxidil. A cheap, accessible addition to any hair loss stack.

Dandruff gone and scalp noticeably less inflamed. Hair feels denser after 3 months.

Stacks perfectly with minoxidil. The scalp inflammation reduction alone improved my hair visibly.
